Every major outsourcing wave promised efficiency gains and punished organizations that treated it as a procurement decision rather than a transformation. AI adoption is the same wave with a different vendor. During my short daily drive taking my son to school, I am frequently frustrated by the roundabouts that line the route. Although I am not a traffic expert, I assume that these roundabouts were designed to optimize traffic flow. Yet, more often than not, I find myself waiting in line for no apparent reason.
